Is the 15th (Monday) a public holiday? : The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced today that the government has declared Monday, April 15th, as a public holiday.
This decision was made in response to requests from various parties in anticipation of the upcoming Tamil and Sinhala New Year.

- ஏப்ரல் 15 (திங்கட்கிழமை) பொது விடுமுறை தினமாக அரசாங்கம் அறிவித்துள்ளது என்று உள்துறை அமைச்சகம் இன்று தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
- எதிர்வரும் தமிழ், சிங்கள புத்தாண்டை முன்னிட்டு எதிர்வரும் 15ஆம் திகதி திங்கட்கிழமை பொது விடுமுறை தினமாக மாற்றுமாறு பல்வேறு தரப்பினரால் கோரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
