Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Management Trainees Job Vacancy at Central Bank of Sri Lanka
The vacancy post available is for the position of Management Trainees leading to Staff Class Grade I.
To be eligible for the Management Trainees post, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum of a three-year degree in a relevant discipline.
- Obtain a minimum Second Class (Upper Division) or a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or a minimum Weighted Average Marks of 75%.
- The degree should be from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.
Applicants should have a degree specialized in one of the following disciplines:
- Economics/Agricultural Economics
- Accountancy/Banking/Finance
- Commerce/Management
- Public/Business Administration
- Statistics/Mathematics
- Engineering
- Computer Science/Information Technology
Alternatively, a degree in Law with Attorney-at-Law qualification is also accepted.
Applicants should be 30 years old or below as of 10th October 2023.
The selection procedure involves a competitive examination and one or more interviews. Candidates will be tested in General Intelligence, Analytical Writing, and General Knowledge.
The training period is one year, during which trainees will receive a fixed monthly allowance of Rs. 125,000/-. Upon successful completion of the training, trainees will be absorbed into the Staff Class Grade I of the Bank as Probationary Staff officers.
